Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is made by Man with Van North End. It sets out the steps we take to identify, prevent, and address the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains.
Man with Van North End provides transport and removal services and recognises that all organisations, regardless of size or sector, have a responsibility to uphold and promote human rights. We are committed to conducting our business in an ethical and transparent manner and to ensuring that modern slavery has no place in our activities.
Our Zero-Tolerance Policy
Man with Van North End has a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and child labour. This applies to our own operations, to those who work for us directly, and to all organisations and individuals in our supply chains.
We expect everyone who represents Man with Van North End, including employees, agency workers, subcontractors, drivers, and service partners, to share this commitment. Any involvement in modern slavery, whether direct or indirect, is strictly prohibited and may result in termination of contracts, reporting to relevant authorities, and other appropriate action.
Our Supply Chains and Supplier Standards
Our supply chains primarily include vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, equipment and packaging suppliers, and other service subcontractors who support our transport and removal activities. We recognise that labour rights risks can arise at any stage of the supply chain and we are committed to identifying and managing these risks effectively.
We seek to work only with suppliers and partners who uphold lawful, fair, and safe working practices. Our supplier expectations include prohibiting forced or compulsory labour, ensuring that workers are employed voluntarily, respecting freedom of movement and the right to leave employment, prohibiting child labour that contravenes local laws, and ensuring safe and fair working conditions, including lawful working hours and wages.
Supplier Audits and Due Diligence
Man with Van North End is developing and maintaining a risk-based approach to supplier due diligence. Where appropriate, we may request information from suppliers on their labour practices, require confirmation that they comply with relevant modern slavery legislation, and include contractual clauses that oblige suppliers to prevent modern slavery in their operations.
We reserve the right to carry out supplier reviews or audits, particularly where there is an elevated risk of labour exploitation. These reviews may include site visits, document checks, and discussions with management about labour standards. Where non-compliance or concerns are identified, we will engage with suppliers to agree corrective actions and timescales. If issues are not resolved satisfactorily, we may consider suspending or ending the relationship.
Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing Channels
We encourage anyone who works for or with Man with Van North End, as well as members of the public, to report any concerns related to modern slavery or human trafficking connected to our business or supply chains. Concerns may include suspected forced labour, withholding of identity documents, threats or intimidation, exploitation of vulnerable workers, or any other indicators of abuse.
Reports can be made to management or via our internal reporting processes. We will handle all reports sensitively and, where possible, confidentially. We will not tolerate any form of victimisation or retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith. All credible reports will be assessed and, where necessary, investigated, and we will take appropriate action, which may include notifying relevant authorities.
Training, Awareness, and Responsibility
Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery lies with the management of Man with Van North End. Management is responsible for promoting awareness of modern slavery risks, considering these risks in key business decisions, and ensuring that our policy commitments are implemented in practice.
We aim to raise awareness among employees and key suppliers about the signs of modern slavery and the importance of reporting concerns. Where relevant, we provide guidance on identifying risk factors in transport, logistics, and subcontracting arrangements.
Monitoring, Annual Review, and Continuous Improvement
Man with Van North End is committed to reviewing and improving our approach to tackling modern slavery on an ongoing basis. We will review this Modern Slavery Statement at least once every twelve months to reflect changes in legislation, best practice, the structure of our business, and the nature of our supply chains.
As part of the annual review, we will consider any incidents or concerns raised, the effectiveness of our reporting and investigation processes, feedback from employees and suppliers, and opportunities to strengthen our policies, supplier checks, and training. Updated versions of this statement will be approved by management and made available to stakeholders.
By publishing this statement, Man with Van North End reaffirms its commitment to acting with integrity, supporting the protection of human rights, and taking all reasonable steps to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not present in our business or our supply chains.
